One of our favorite aspects about throwing a big ‘ole event like Hard French Hearts Los Homos Pride is the opportunity to partner with some of our favorite local businesses to make the whole thing happen! We’d like to take a minute to thank our partners and to let you know a little bit about why we love them so.
What’s not to love!? This women-centered 3 day festival happens at the prettiest ranch in Marin and features some of our favorite DJs and live performers. Our very own Brown Amy will be playing at her third Fabulosa Fest this year and will be spinning dockside so you can paddle, float or swim around the lake to your favorite soul sounds. Buy your tickets now and get ready to camp and dance your heart out July 20-22nd.
We (and by we we mean DJ Carnita) remembers first moving to San Francisco ages ago and going to Amoeba at least once a week to cruise the aisles for vinyl while also cruising the babes working behind the counter. Amoeba is still one of our favorite record stores in the world, not only because of their ridiculously expansive vinyl selection, but because their legendary in-store performances bring huge talent to the masses.
Emmy’s is one of our favorite places to go post-Hard French to soak up an afternoon’s worth of drinking at El Rio with the best Italian food in the Mission. How they make something as basic as spaghetti and meatballs an explosion of delicious in your mouth is anybody’s guess. This year they’ll be serving said meatballs in sandwich form for your eating pleasure at Hard French Hearts Los Homos.
This record store on 24th and Shotwell, specializing in new and used copies of “Rural American Music, Jazz, International Pop and Folk, and Vintage and Modern Electronics,” is extra near and dear to our hearts because it’s owned by one of our regular Hard French guest DJs, Phengren Oswald! It’s a perfect place to stop in and leave with a bag of rare records from different continents and genres you never knew existed.
This Tender-Nob cafe is the best place to meet a local queer celebrity trying to neutralize their hangover with Farm:Table’s award winning coffee and hand prepared artisan food. This queer owned cafe is also the proud owner of a brand new parklet so you can now sip your lates in the sunshine. Speaking of sipping in the sunshine, Farm:Table will be serving up their iced coffee at Hard French Hearts Los Homos for those of you who need a pick-me-up to keep you dancing late into the evening.
Have you ever wanted your logo/face/anything on a mug/tshirt/anything? Zazzle is the company that can make that happen! Zazzle well help you customize everything under the sun with your personal brand to help you get your name out there in fun and creative ways. Speaking of which, stay tuned for Hard French i-Phone cases and so much more in the future!
This is the Hard French GO TO website/online magazine/print magazine for cool shit in SF! They’ve given us a lot of love too, especially with this article. Peep their site every few days for new and interesting articles about SF Arts and Culture and not to mention Hard French is hella jealous of their kick ass new office.
Being a Zipcar member gives us the freedom of choice and do we ever choose! Our favorite car sharing service lets us put on a different set of wheels every time we leave the house. You may see a Hard Frencher scooting around town in a convertible mini cooper or working some butch realness in a Tacoma pickup. Variety is the spice of life and Zipcar keeps things spicy.
We heart this website from our one of our favorite Hard French attendees! He also happens to be the hot beardo with the football jersey and short shorts from our video series!
