Living legend Glamamore returns for the third year in a row to perform at the Winter Ball. Glamamore honed her craft at revered East Village clubs like Boybar back in the 1980s, alongside fellow legends such as Sherry Vine, Hedda Lettuce, Lady Bunny, RuPaul and the breakthrough band DeeeLite. Now a much-sought-after couturier and drag den mother, as well as the co-creator/co-hostess of Some Thing, The Stud’s award-winning Friday-night drag cabaret, Glamamore schools a new generation of queens in Fiercedom 101.
Rotimi loves balls! And especially adores singing at them. Recent performances of his include playing James Brown, Prince and other characters at Beach Blanket Babylon and performing as Miss Cleo Patois at Something. You can find him later this month at CounterPULSE flaming out in Fabulous Artistic Guys Get Overtly Traumatized Sometimes: The Musical! See you on the dance floor! Photo Credit: Cabure Bonugli
DavEnd is a tender-hearted, genderqueer, costume designing, accordion wielding songwriter, performing artist and designer based in San Francisco. DavEnd has released two studio albums (How To Hold Your Own Hand, Fruits Commonly Mistaken For Vegetables) and for the past 6 years, has been touring extensively in the U.S., performing at queer teen centers, festivals, colleges, theatres and backyards. Between tours, Ms. End designs costumes, and most recently has been producing a new musical, costume designing and dancing in production numbers for songwriter Kimya Dawson, and appearing in Taylor Mac’s epic 5 hour play, The Lily’s Revenge. DavEnd’s current project, “Fabulous Artistic Guys Get Overtly Traumatized Sometimes: The Musical!”, brings together the worlds of music and radical performance art in a theatrical extravaganza, exploring the effects of heterosexism and street harassment on the development of queer identity.
